- On Sat, Dec 14, AkiNoKure is pleased to welcome back Sensei Dave Clements, who will present a Newaza/BJJ at the Aikido dojo on Sat Dec 14 at 1000. Sensei Clements holds black Belts in Judo and BJJ. He also was a long-time member of Aki No Kure (and might have played short stop for the New York Yankees) until he decided to move south and live in the land of hurricanes.

- August 26, 2024 – Class will be cancelled Monday September 2nd for Labor Day.
- August 5, 2024 – Chris Wojcik and John Calderone were awarded their Brown belts (Sankyu). Shomen consisted of Dustin Bruso (Nidan), Peter Bottino (Shodan), and Andrew Patterson (Shodan). Congratulations Chris and John!
- August 4, 2024 – Congratulations Zach Pittel (Sankyu) for making the trip to participate in the Tohoku Judo Club Adult Tournament!
- July 30, 2024 – Goodbye lunch for Devon on Saturday August 17th at Pho Hong. Good luck Devon!
- May 13, 2024 – Sensei Paul will be conducting Kata classes the next 2 Wednesdays:
- Weds – 5/15
- Weds – 5/22
- While the primary focus of the sessions will be kata, anyone from the club is welcome to attend.
- May 8, 2024 – Class will be cancelled Saturday May 18th due to an Akido seminar.
- April 30, 2024 – Class will be cancelled Saturday May 4th due to GMMAC seminar.
- April 8, 2024 – Class will be cancelled Monday due to traffic concerns for the eclipse.
- Return to normally scheduled Judo and we shall bring back the sun.
- February 19, 2024 – UNH Wildcat Invitational:
- The Wildcat Invitational is held at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, about 1 hour north of Boston and 3.5 hours south of the Canadian border. Early weigh-in available on Friday night.
- Satellite weigh-in available from clubs with calibrated scales Thursday evening or Friday.
- Again this year:
- $250 cash prize for 1st place in Sr. Men’s & Women’sAdvanced divisions. Cash prizes for 2nd and 3rd place as well.
- Double your money in Grand Champion, an open weight overall category eligible to any 1st place Sr Advanced finisher to receive an additional $250 prize
- Collegiate Novice / Advanced gold medalists receive $50 entry discount at NCJA Nationals on April 6 in College Station TX
